Dismissed in some circles as a poor man's Deliverance, the reputation of this Canadian survivalist slasher movie has risen over the years. The original US release was a bowdlerized 89 minute cutdown but the stronger 100 minute original is now available on DVD. Also released under the title The Creeper.

I swear to she-god, one of your all time greatest! This trailer is ALMOST as awesome as the iconic poster! Love that pan of chanting 'island beauties' and Mr. Corman's commentary is as relaxing as a Hawaiian vacation...

Love this one, and love all the cheezy plot within a plot within a plot ripoffs that followed (remember all those gorgeous black and white Hammer second features?).
