The success of Annie Get Your Gun prompted Warner Bros. to follow up with another musical western based on the popular stage show about Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane. Paul Francis Webster and Sammy Fain's Oscar-winning song Secret Love became one of star Doris Day's signature hits. Ms. Day, who retired from films, is still busy with her animal charity and just released a new album, My Heart, at 89 years of age! She's also been honored by the LA Film Critics with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

I swear to she-god, one of your all time greatest! This trailer is ALMOST as awesome as the iconic poster! Love that pan of chanting 'island beauties' and Mr. Corman's commentary is as relaxing as a Hawaiian vacation...

Love this one, and love all the cheezy plot within a plot within a plot ripoffs that followed (remember all those gorgeous black and white Hammer second features?).
